From the house I can see Abbey Hill in the far distance which is really handy for those 'after burner' sunsets as I can usually tell, from the shape and height of clouds in the sky, if it could turn to be one of those sunsets to remember along the coastline, a short distance from the hills. In mid September the sun still sets slowly and reasonably late, and so I get in the car, drive to Flaggy Shore, set the tripod, then wait for the magic to happen (or not!)
